The e-scooters are classified as 'Class A mopeds' (Belgium) or 'snorfietsen' (Netherlands). The following rules always apply:
- Wearing a helmet by driver and passenger is mandatory at all times
- The driver must hold a valid category B or AM/A3 driving licence.
- You may not pull anyone ahead.
- Keep both hands on the handlebars and your feet on the pedals.
- Holding electronic devices, such as smartphones, is strictly prohibited unless you are completely stationary or parked.
- You may not carry more passengers than there are seats on the e-scooter.
- Children aged 8 and over are welcome to join the ride.
- You are always required to use the cycle path whenever one is designated, unless traffic signs indicate otherwise.
