Not at all, the e-scooters are just very easy to drive. All you have to do is to accelerate and to brake. So you don't have to change gears, like e.g. with a Vespa.
Moreover, the e-scooters are very stable due to their large tires and comfortable front and rear suspension. Therefore, they are accessible to all ages.
Smaller persons (approx. 155cm and smaller) may find it difficult, however, due to the fact that they have to tilt the scooter a bit at an angle to get on and get their feet to the ground.
We make every effort to make you feel comfortable and accustomed to how the e-scooter works. That's why we take the time for individual guidance, including a practice lap. Should you nevertheless decide not to go, you will receive a gift certificate for the paid rental price of your e-scooter. In addition, you may step on as a passenger with one of the other people in your group, for free.
Sure. Just keep in mind that the seats are sized for people of an average build. This given the relatively limited length of the saddles.
The minimum age of drivers is 16. Is there anyone between the ages of 16 and 21 in the group? Then for every person between the ages of 16 and 21, at least one companion aged 21 or older must be continuously present.
Keep in mind that in this case the deposit is increased to € 500.
To drive, you need a moped license (A3/AM) or car license (B). Don't have this? Then the deposit will be increased to € 500 and you are not allowed to ride in the Netherlands. This means that the following tours unfortunately cannot be ridden: 'Cosy Meuse Villages', 'Castles around the Meuse' and the Outdoor Escape 'De Bokkenreyders'.
Children from the age of 8 years and up may sit on the back. This is obliged by the legislation.
Only if you put them in a specially designated and locked basket, brought by you for this purpose, provided it is properly attached to the specific carrier of the e-scooter. This is entirely at your own risk.
The maximum speed is limited to 30 km/h. As a result, you do not miss anything of the beautiful surroundings and you can just get to the unique places, where it is forbidden for the faster scooters.
With one battery you can drive about 70 km. It is possible to add a second battery, doubling the range. However, you don't have to worry about finding a charging station: our routes are mapped out in such a way that you can easily complete the entire trip.
If there is a bike lane, you are obliged to ride on it, unless it is prohibited. For example, the tourist and busy bike paths on the dike are prohibited. Don't worry: this is an advantage: you ride on much nicer and quieter roads, far away from the crowds.

The deposit is €250 per group up to and including 6 drivers. If there are more than 6 drivers or if a driver is under 21 years old or without a driver's license, the deposit is increased to €500.

A discovery tour offers you the chance to discover much of the area in a short time and takes about 3 hours.
An experience tour is for the epicureans who want to discover even more of the area and take the time for an extensive lunch and some outdoor cafes along the way. You will be on the road for about 8 hours.
